Hi from south Texas. We are the Harris’, Frank and Reva.

We are retired Realtors and now enjoy filling our time with our “Gems”. Through the years we have owned and managed several businesses, raised four children, and so on. During those years we indulged in raising some Doberman pups and some miniature Poodles. Both times we found that we did not have the luxury of time to give to the dogs as we wanted.

Now that our children are gone and neither of us have outside responsibilities, we find ourselves with plenty of-time to spend with our precious Chihuahuas. These Gems have become our joy. Chihuahuas are our delight, our HOBBY, and make our time of retirement full and complete. WE ARE NOT A PUPPY MILL, FAR FROM IT. All of our dogs are in our home. We do have pens to confine them at certain times. These pens are inside our home. In our office to be precise. It’s a large office! We talk to them as we work at our desk and we are hands on constantly with each one, individually. Outside we have them confined in a smaller fence for their protection. Our home is on just-under 3 acres and they enjoy running and playing in the large back yard. We have set up space for whelping in our bedroom and the mom’s and babies are there in the quiet until ready to join the others. We even have a secluded space for the more intimate moments. Our pups are completely socialized with children (2 years to 27 years, our grandchildren), other dogs, and any visitors that come our way, whether human or animal. They know love from the first moment they come into this world. They are never ready until they have the necessary shots and are physically and mentally prepared to become a member of your family. Whether small or large, short hair or long, show quality or pet; you will find our pups will add many years of enjoyment to your home and life.

As I said above we are a hobby-kennel. We are very small and we plan to never be large. All of our dogs are two years or older. Our plans are to increase gradually with dogs that produce smaller (not tiny), long hair Chihuahuas. We know that we will always have some larger dogs and some short hair; but all will be loved and spoiled. They all are our family!

Do you like small dogs? Are you ready for the responsibilities one brings with him or her? If so you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. Chihuahuas come in a small package, but pound per pound they give more love and enjoyment than any other of God’s creatures. If you can say yes to the above questions and want one of our GEMS contact us for available pups or get on our list for the next litter. Be ready to tell us your desired dog (size, color, personality, etc.) and we will help match you to the right pup or you can choose. Looking forward to hear from you.

P.S. We can meet you half way if you live here in Texas or just beyond our boarders.

P.P.S. We will have adult dogs to adopt from time to time so watch this sight for information.
